To meet the needs of Manchester-area families, Amoskeag Health has opened the first School-Based Health Center*in NH in collaboration with the Manchester School District.

At Amoskeag Health’s Dr. Selma Deitch Center for Children & Teens (formerly Child Health Services), we strive to create a healthy and vibrant community with strong families and a tight social fabric that ensures everyone has the tools they need to thrive and succeed.

WHY School-based Healthcare?

Kids spend most of their time at school.
We bring primary care and behavioral health to them.
Parents/caregivers remain at work while their child is seen by a medical provider. They may join a child’s appointment via telehealth.
School-based health centers contribute to positive education outcomes, reduced absenteeism, and decreased disciplinary actions.

Morning Matters Keynote Speaker, Yvette Highsmith-Francis

Ms. Highsmith-Francis is Vice President of Community Health Center, Inc.’s (CHCI) Eastern Region. She is a strong advocate for the elimination of racial/ethnic health care disparities and has worked with CHCI for over 25 years to ensure that the community’s most vulnerable residents have access to quality medical, dental, mental health, and school-based services, delivered with dignity and respect. Ms. Highsmith-Francis oversees eight of CHCI’s fourteen community health centers and all school-based health centers across Connecticut.
