To meet the needs of Manchester-area families, Amoskeag Health has opened the first School-Based Health Center*in NH in collaboration with the Manchester School District.
At Amoskeag Health’s Dr. Selma Deitch Center for Children & Teens (formerly Child Health Services), we strive to create a healthy and vibrant community with strong families and a tight social fabric that ensures everyone has the tools they need to thrive and succeed.
WHY School-based Healthcare?
- Kids spend most of their time at school.
- We bring primary care and behavioral health to them.
- Parents/caregivers remain at work while their child is seen by a medical provider. They may join a child’s appointment via telehealth.
- School-based health centers contribute to positive education outcomes, reduced absenteeism, and decreased disciplinary actions.
