Trends in Youth Mental Health: Risk and Protective Factors
Dr. Laura Rubin is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist and 2006 founder of the Portsmouth Neuropsychology Center in Portsmouth, NH. She received her Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology at Loyola University of Chicago and her undergraduate psychology degree at the University of Michigan. She has received specialized training in neuropsychology assessment at the University of Chicago, North Shore Hospital, and New York University Medical Center.

Dr. Rubin has extensive experience providing neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. She has particular expertise in evaluating individuals with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disorders, and mood/anxiety disorders. Additionally, she provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults and supervises post-doctoral fellows.

Dr. Rubin speaks regularly in the community regarding child development, learning and mental health, parenting, and psychotherapeutic treatment at medical centers, universities, elementary schools, and community organizations. She is also a frequent media contributor and also presented “Reframing to Rewire Your Brain” at TEDxPortsmouth.

Dr. Rubin previously served as a former adjunct professor at the University of New Hampshire and board member of the Richie McFarland Children’s Center. She lives in the Seacoast with her husband and three children.
